Best vacation I have ever had! by
Susan A. from Hendersonville, NC Sailing date: Jul 2010Pros: Relaxing in the Carribean breezes The ship and her crew were marvelous! No request was too big or too small for any member of the staff! My niece and her hubby met my hubby and myself onboard and we had a memorable cruise, visit and photos to share! It was a nice touch to have the staff member's country of origin on their name tags. And even nicer that they are willing to share a bit of their country and their personal lives if asked! I overheard that there was a family of 18 onboard for a family reunion! What an idea!! This thought will work for us one day soon! Thank you for your help. Ship Quality

  Great Cruise by
Karlynn P from Methuen, MA Sailing date: Jul 2010Pros: Shore Excursion to Atlantis Cons: Nothing - I liked it all! It was old, but spotless. I loved the serenity deck where the hot tub was for adults (no one under 18 allowed). It really was serene. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodCould have had better desserts in the buffet area. Stateroom Quality

Freeport, Grand Bahama IslandThe Jeep Adventure was great, and the beach we visited and the Garden of the Groves were the best. Kind of a depressing town though with the half finished houses, and the deserted hotels and shops.
Don't Miss: Garden of the Groves Nassau, BahamasAtlantis was fabulous! I want to go stay at the hotel someday. Very exclusive shops and a nice casino. The waterpark was the best - expecially the river that we floated around in tubes.

  Great Vacation by
Jack P. from Greenville, NC Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: Food, shows, service. Cons: Size of pool. Cost of drinks. The ship had some dated styling and rather cheap carpet in the high traffic areas but was in good shape overall. The crew was constantly cleaning, repainting, repairing items to keep them in the best possible shape. I would cruise on this ship again. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodSeveral options all the time. Pizza, subs, salads, ice cream, various buffet and dining options. All you care to eat when you want it. Stateroom QualityThe important things were in very good shape. The bed was very comfortable. Ship Staff QualityAlways anxious to help and make your stay ideal. No objection to any request. Entertainment & ActivitiesPlenty to do. Pool, bingo, games, gambling, bars, eating, shows, comediens. All you want to do.

Key West, FloridaPort and shops were fine. Due to weather our snorkeling trip was diverted to an alternative site that was not great. No much to see.
Don't Miss: The catermaran snorkeling trip is lots of fun. Even with poor snorkeling, the boat trip was fun. The crew was funny and made us drinks for the ride back. Freeport, Grand Bahama IslandSlower pace on this island. Swam with the dolphins. Great time. Must travel on a taxi or bus to get to attractions from ship.
Don't Miss: Swim with the dolphins. Pricey but once in a lifetime experience. Don't do it if you are hopelessly out of shape. You have to swim alot. Nassau, BahamasSnorkel or scuba, reef is beautiful and the best part of my trip. Crew was great. Market is crowded and hot. All vendors have the same items.
Don't Miss: snorkel or scuba on the reef. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

Not so much fun on the fun ship sober! by
Jess M. from Denver, CO Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: Great service. Cons: There is not a lot to do if you don't drink. The cruise seems ideal for people who enjoy drinking, gambling, mediocre food, and who don't mind cigarette smoke. Our days on shore included great excursions (not included), wonderful local food, and relaxing walks through interesting places. Our days on the ship were less than enjoyable. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe meals were good there was nothing phenomenal or breathtaking. This is understandable since they have to cater to everyone. Stateroom QualityStateroom quality and cleanliness was good. There was a consistent buzz on the movie channels on the TV. Ship Staff QualityEvery member of the staff was friendly, helpful, and willing to go out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were entertaining and there were a few nights with shows. During the day, though, there were not a lot of activities. There was line dancing, trying to fight for a lounge chair on deck, looking at the same five shops, or waiting for a treadmill in the gym. At night, there are several smoky bars to visit after dinner. Unless you are a drinker, I would not recommend this cruise. 1 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Less than expected by
Chris D from La Crosse, WI Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: service. the people were fantastic Cons: overpriced everything and fairly little to do except drink overpriced drinks. Too many smoking areas. Not a lot to do. The food was only so so -- admittedly my wife and I are into cooking so we have high standards. The kids activities didn't appeal to our kids, so they were bored. The shows were mostly goofy. In fact, the whole thing was goofy. I am not a stick in the mud, and I can see the point of silly diversions (hairy chest contest, ice carving exhibition), but five days of that is a yawn. the pool, especially the one kid's jacuzzi, was packed all the time. I don't know, this was my first cruise and maybe it is not for me. Ship Quality

Cruise was maybe 3 star by
Linda P from Illinois Sailing date: Jan 2010Pros: Celebration Dining Room Cons: Windows by the Sea 1st time on this ship. I've cruise 7 times, only 2nd time on Carnival. The weather was
not very good except in ports so we spent more time inside. I thought finding your way around the ship was a little confusing. Deck info listed inside elevator needs to be more detailed & stay lit at all times. Elevator buttons were only listed by deck name so if you weren't sure where you were going, it was confusing.
Disembarkment was very slow, though not Carnivals fault. Too many smoking places. Entertainment midship
by bar was poor location as main hallways went between entertainment & people at bar. Everyone was very friendly except the guy selling cigs & liquor.
Really liked the Anytime Dining plan where we could go to Dining Room anytime between
6-9PM & be seated. Never had to wait hardly anytime. Great feature. Ship QualityEverything great except for finding your way around decks & labeling inside elevator. Dining/FoodCelebration was great, but not as pleased with Windows by Sea food. Really liked the
Anytime dining plan. Stateroom QualityOceanview room was very spacious, bed very comfortable. Ship Staff QualityFriendly, helpful staff Entertainment & ActivitiesBeatles tribute great. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

Great Cruise, but pricey extras by
Chip U from Arkansas Sailing date: Jan 2010Pros: Good food, friendly staff Cons: Cost of drinks, shore tours, bingo The ship was great for our needs. Cabin and dining staff friendly and always greeted us using our names, very nice. Entertainment (on board) was great! It is obvious (too obvious) that Carnival is trying to make up for low ticket prices with overpriced drinks $4.95 for a beer and 7.95 for "drink of the day), pictures (too many photographers) and even bingo was too expensive in my opinion. So maybe I'm cheap. Still had a great vacation. Ship QualityAvoid promenade deck if you are a non smoker. Dining/FoodLives up to cruise expectations! plenty of food and most of it is very good, some excellent. Stateroom QualityStateroom did not seem as clean as it could have been, Ship Staff QualitySteward and wait staff call you by name, very nice effort, especially as my wife and I were traveling by ourselves, it was nice that someone calls you by name. Entertainment & ActivitiesVery impressed with the entertainment on this cruise. Cruise director "Noonan" was entertaining and the ships dance troup, band and production singers were very good. The guests were great. John Floyd was great and even the Juggler which I didn't expect to be so entertaining was great! Shore excursions seemed very expensive for what you got. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Good Cruise by
A Traveler from Clinton, IA Sailing date: Jan 2010Pros: Food Cons: Long wait disembarking at customs, stuck in traffic for long time getting into parking ramp Cruise was great. Only negatives were waiting in traffic for a long time trying to get in to parking ramp on embarkation and waiting in very long line at customs. This was not the fault of Carnival but the Mobile port and customs. Excellent food and good shows. One of the comedians wasn't funny. Good spa with workout room, steam room, shower, etc. Have to try the chocolate melting cake. We really liked our stateroom and bed. It was extremely hot in Cozumel. Ship Quality

  Excellent Cruise by
Carlotta A from Fort Smith, Arkansas Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Wait staff, entertainment, comfortable bed Cons: not a thing We sailed from New Orleans to the Western Caribbean. This was a fantastic trip -- even with a little "rockin and rollin" from the water at times -- no fault of the ship or the captain. Everyone of the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We had a window room with king-size bed and had plenty of storage space and room to move about. The entertainment on the Fantasy is VERY good -- excellent singers, particularly. Thanks for a great vacation. We will be back again soon. Ship QualityVery clean -- and constantly being kept clean. Dining/FoodTwo of the greatest waiters took care of anything we wanted. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityExcellent Entertainment & ActivitiesLoved the shows. Great comedians. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  Fabulous Cruise! by
Kevin F from Claremore, OK Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Dining, Casino & Lido Deck Cons: Ship was a tad old- needs updated The staff was amazing- There was not a staff member that did not say hello if you passed them in the halls etc. Casino was great- good variety of machines and they were hitting too!!!! Anna & Pauline in the casino were awesome! Gladdie & Michael in the Celebration Dining Room were the best- yes the best ever!! Ship QualityNeeds re-done- outdated Dining/FoodMichale & Gladdie were the best! Stateroom QualityClean and comfortable- large room by cruise standards. Ship Staff QualityNot a single staff member that didn't atleast say hello! Entertainment & ActivitiesCasino paid pretty well all week! 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
