A great cruise...just long enough by
Pat C from North Jersey Sailing date: Jul 2010Pros: Plenty of activities to choose from or just do nothing Cons: The efficiency of the the wait staff clearing the buffet area quickly and replacing empty coffee stations, putting out clean cups The cruise line is excellent...offer mega actitivies...took a long time to figure out the layout...some floors did not "go through"...had to go up or down to get to the correct deck Ship QualityCabins were more spacious than other cruise lines I've been on. Cleaning staff was OUTSTANDING, entire crew very friendly Dining/Food

Great cruise. Service was fantastic. by
Jamie C from Detroit, MI Sailing date: Jul 2010Pros: Housekeeping and food service. Cons: Casino taking money our from player bank, apparently a small but noticeable percentage. My first cruise. Impressed with the ship size and offerings. Great service all around. Funny cruise director. Food was good. The Steakhouse was terrific. My only complaint is it seemed the casino withheld some funds when collecting from player bank. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodDo the dining room over buffett for dinner. Stateroom QualityConstantly cleaning, replacing towels Ship Staff Quality

Halifax, Nova ScotiaIf had to do again, would do an out-of-town trip then back to the boardwalk for late lunch.
Don't Miss: Boardwalk, historic properties. Saint John, New BrunswickEnjoyed the history and small town atmosphere. Reversing Falls not as exciting as touted.

  Too many kids by
Dianna A from Los Angeles, CA Sailing date: Jul 2010Pros: Great shows, food, and service Cons: Too many kids that were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. This is a great cruise if you are taking your children. But if you are single or a couple and want to get away from the kids, then it brings down the whole point of vacation. Carnival does a great job pampering to the needs of people with great food and services, but the lack of parenting skills from other take the whole feeling away. Honestly, Carnival should have a whole floor for kids only and another only for adults. Kids should not be part of the late dinners. There should be a pool for adults only. If parents knew how to take care of their children and had stronger parenting skills then I would I had a blast. Ship QualityVery clean and friendly ship. Stateroom QualityExcellent! Ship Staff QualityThey know how to pamper. Entertainment & ActivitiesAgenda was giving out the night before with lots of activities to choose from.

Halifax, Nova ScotiaThe hopper bus was excellent. You can hop on and off to site see on your own. There are so many buses that you don't have to wait a long time getting back on another bus. It was so how that they give us ice pops to cool down. Very friendly and lots of cool places to see.
Saint John, New BrunswickThe pink bus was great. Very friendly people. You can hop on and off to site see on your own.

Leaves a lot ot be desired! by
Don N from Denver, CO USA Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: The stateroom Cons: Too many people, kids. "fun". The ship is designed to provide the most income for the spaces. Library is a joke...not available exclusively as a library, too small, under stocked. Ship Quality
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityOnly smiles came from our room steward and dinner waiter...other staff seemed very preoccupied, tired or too busy to pay attention. Entertainment & ActivitiesVery geared to the loud, juvenial audience it was designed for. No ballroom style dancing, or
'older' style music. Didn't even have a full dance band aboard! For such a huge ship, very few musicians were there. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Cruise to Canada by
Brandon H from Marion, IN Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: The ship staff was completely helpful and fun The staff was fun and helpful. There was plenty to do and too much to eat! I gained 5 pounds on a 5 day cruise! I took my 11 year old son and he didn't have a dull moment as they had many kids activities planned throughout the cruise. Ship Quality

  Awesome cruise by
Sierra from New London, CT Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: planned activities, peacful cabin, varitey of food options We had a great time, it was a short get away from the kids that gave us time yo reconnect and planned activities that kept us active. We loved the adults only area and enjoyed the ebony cabriet club Ship QualityIt was a little confusing the first day understanding that all floor don't connect from teh front and back of the boat but by day two we had it. Dining/FoodMy huband ate everything that was there. Food is avaiable round the clock room service was good as well Stateroom Qualityslightly small but considerinf we did not spend much time in it , it was fine for sleeping napping Ship Staff QualityStaff was very friendly, and we left money and electronics out and nothing was ever bothered. They were on top of their game Entertainment & Activities

What a blast! Wonderful memories!!! by
Tina from United States Sailing date: May 2010Pros: Our waiters on the decks and in the restaurants. Met fun people! Cons: The rain...but it didn't dampen our spirits! Took my adult daughter on a 7 night cruise. We had a great bonding experience. Great memories! Traveled on the Carnival Glory. Check-in was painless. We recommend express check-out! Our room was spacious and the balcony was great. (Will always have to have one now!) The food was fantastic, esp the Emerald Steakhouse. All of the staff was terrific. Plenty to do even with the rain. Can't wait to do this again. Will probably book an Alaskan cruise with my husband next time! Ship QualityRecent 3 million dollar renovation. Very clean. No complaints. Pretty ship! Dining/FoodThe food was plentiful and tasty! Loved the Emerald Steakhouse. Had dinner there twice! Our main dining was in the Platnium Dining Room. It is located at the back of the ship. My daughter had difficulty with dining there due to the ship's motion. The food was very good. Stateroom QualityOur stateroom was comfortable, clean, and we loved the balcony. Ship Staff QualityEveryone was polite, eager to please, helpful. Entertainment & ActivitiesWe played a lot of cards on deck in the shade. But that is what we enjoy doing. Lots of contests, movies on deck, activites. shows. Due to rain, we missed two ports of call. But we were really not that disappointed. Lots to do to keep us busy.

  Great People and Food! by
Sherry R from Valparaiso, IN Sailing date: May 2010Pros: Great Employees, Rooms were very well maintained! Cons: Very unorganized and long lines when leaving and boarding the ship! The ship itself is very nice and the room service and dining room service were exceptional! Kudos to Dennis and his team in the Dining Room! The ship definately needs to improve the way it handles getting people on and off of the ship at each port! Everyone was complaining about the long lines and the way we were all crammed in the stair wells and by the elevators. The entertainment was below average in the Amber Palace. The dancers and singers were not very impressive and the passenger karaoke singers were highlight of the cruise. Carnival was HUGE on taking pictures but unfortunately they charge so much for them you can't afford to buy them and that was truly a shame! They need to lower the prce or make package deals and they would sell alot more rather than just pitching them all in the trash! We booked several excursions and did not really enjoy any of them, we would definately have rather skipped them and just toured each port on our own. The best part of the trip was meeting some new friends and enjoying the weather. Probably would never do another cruise again, time was too limited at each stop. Ship QualityThe ship is very clean and nicely decorated. It was fun to see all of the different themes in the various bars. The pool areas were very nice and the big TV on the deck was nice. The ship was normally easy to navigate around. Dining/FoodDragos in the Dining Room should go back to Bosnia, he is not personable at all! Good thing that the rest of the staff made up for it! Dennis, Putu, and Gusti were WONDERFUL! Great Service and Extremely Friendly!! Stateroom QualityGreat Service and Enjoyed the Towel Animals each evening! Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly! Ship Staff QualityAgain, most of the staff was extremely nice! Dragos was one of the only few people that was not friendly or respectful to the passengers. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe quality of the shows in the Amber Palace were disappointing. The dancers and singers were not very entertaining and the Illusionist was the same trick over and over. Some of the game shows with the passengers were fun to watch and again, the passengers provided the best entertainment with their talents. We saw two comedians and only one of them was good. The Motown Show was very good.

Grand Turk IslandAgain, skip the Snorkel Tour and go snorkeling on your own! They take you to a beach with NO CHAIRS while you can see the ship and the beach full of chairs! Makes no sense to waste the money when you can do it in your own time frame and get to spend your time doing what you want. The shopping was a nice and clean area. Again, we wasted so much time on the excursion that we didn't get to spend much time looking around on the island. The beaches again were BEAUTIFUL there! Save your money and GET A CHAIR on the beach!!
Don't Miss: The Shopping area and the Beach! Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)Don't waste your money on the Glass Bottom Boat - pretty lame and boring! We had booked the Fishing Excursion but the boat was broke so we didn't get to go on that.
The beach was beautiful and Carnival had a nice lunch of burgers and hot dogs. We worst part for all of the other passengers was getting on and off of the boat - everyone was complaining about having to wait forever in long lines!
San Juan, Puerto RicoSkip the tour and just go exploring on your own! The shopping and the narrow streets are a must see. The Fort was also worth the trip! Unfortunately, our time there was extremely short so we did not get to go inside many of the stores.
Don't Miss: We would spend our time going through the shops if we could do it over again! Charlotte Amalie, St. ThomasWe love St. Thomas! We stayed there before for 9 days and we enjoyed everything about being there! The Wyndam Sugar Bay Resort is wonderful and we would highly recommend it to anyone! We would have much rather gone there again and skipped the cruise!
Don't Miss: The Catamaran trips to the beaches are a MUST! So BEAUTIFUL!!! 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Great time on the Glory cruise by
John P. from Edgewater, Florida Sailing date: May 2010Pros: The food and entertainment Cons: I disliked the fact that we could not go into any of the clubs and casino because of the cigarette smoke! Sadly we would have loved to spend time in the casino, but spent all of our evenings in the colors lounge. We enjoyed the cruise very much. It was our first cruise and we really enjoy it. We loved the shows and the food was great. Our room was exceptional. The house keeping staff worked very hard to make it that way. We enjoyed the entertainment, but were very sad that we could not go to the clubs or casino due to so much cigarette smoke. The service was fantastic and everyone of the staff was polite and friendly. Also everything was well organized. Boarding and getting off the ship went very smooth. We would definately recommend Carnvial Cruises. Ship Quality

  Awesome cruise by
Charles S from North Georgia Sailing date: May 2010Pros: The ports The ship was the largest we had sailed on so far. Though the ship sailed full there were only 2 times that we felt crowded. Many times we found peaceful, private moments. It was clean and the decor was what you would expect on a cruise ship. The rooms were a quite a bit larger than prior cruises and we enjoyed the extra space (we had an ocenview on Riviera deck Ship Quality
Dining/FoodDo not miss the Emerald Steakhouse, it was well worth the additional $30 per person. The dining room food was good quality. The pizza was awesome. We could not speak for breakfasts or desserts as we missed most of them. Stateroom QualityLoved the stateroom. The size made it possible to enjoy time in the room. We had a couch to relax on. Also enjoyed the mini bar instead of always having to leave room if you were looking for a beverage Ship Staff QualityThe room steward was great, the rest of the staff was always efficient if not overly friendly.

Belize City, BelizeWe took the cave tubing (booked through the ship). While it was a nice bus ride through the city and country side it is long. If you plan on taking this excursion, book the earliest time possible. AFter the Hour plus bus ride and the 45 minute plus hike through the jungle carrying an intertube, wearing a life vest and a helmet, we had to wait almost an hour to get in river. This made us regret having taken this excursion. In speaking to others that went earlier they loved it.
Cozumel, MexicoStay away from shops they drop you of at. High pressure and high dollar. Also never take the first price. We bought a gold chain and crucifix and original price asked was over $1200. Ended up paying $430.
We loved eating at the Casablanca restaurant just off of the main square. The fish tacos were great, the service excellent. If you tip the Mariachi band $20 and buy them beers they will play forever.
George Town, Grand CaymanToo sunburned by this point to fully enjoy the beach but we did enjoy the Tiki beach resort. Pleanty of shade and a bar.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, HondurasOur favorite excursion ever. This little island has everything. Great lunch, reasonably priced $3 local beers, snorkeling, beach pool. We can't wait to return
