Great est trip evrer. by Mary M. from Stinnett, KY
Sailing date: Jun 2010

Pros:
everything

Cons:
nothing. everything was great.

The ship was great. The crew was great. The dining experience was wonderfull. Everything was extrememlly clean. I only encountered one rude staff member and that was at a souvenier shop where they sell carnival carrying cases, key chains, etc. I did not get his name. But this was so petty. I would definitely take another cruise with carnival. And have already recommended this vacation to everyone that I have talked to, which consists of about 20 couples or more. The only bad thing was I lost 150.00 after a member of my party had to cancel the cruise.

The room was extrememly nice, clean, etc. The size was terribly, but I know you can pay more and get a bigger room, but this is what I could afford. And there is so much to do on the ship that all you do is sleep anyway.

Sailing date: Jun 2010

Pros:
The entire trip was fabulous

Cons:
Thin walls - loud neighbors

This was my first time sailing and I chose the Carnival Sensation. From the very beginning, starting with the check in process, I was very impressed with the staff, their friendlyness and how helpful everyone was. Once I entered onto the ship, I was in awe. I had heard stories, but there's nothing like living it first hand. The food was excellent, there were plenty of activities, and even though there were thousands of people on the ship, you never feel crowded. The layout of the ship was easy to learn, so you didn't waste alot of time trying to get places. Staff were always available to assist if needed. The formal dining was very classy yet comfortable, and the food was delicious. I met alot of people from all over the USA in search of the same things, relaxation and fun. I would say that I had both. My only complaint was that I could hear my neighbors in the stateroom next to me when they got a little loud. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Most likley not returning by Tanya A from Cleawater FL
Sailing date: May 2010

Pros:
The food was good, not much variety at dinner

Cons:
Service was awfull unless you wanteld a drink from the bar

18 in are party. Arrived at the port and the port staff was very mean to my grandparents that were traveling with us. Mentoned it to the Carnival staff and they said port staff did not work for Carnival. Arrived on the boat with no greeting from staff. Room attedant was great. Not to much to do on the boat with small children 2-5 as a family. My children loved Camp Carnival. My 14 yr old loved her club, but she could come and go as she pleased. I did not care for that. Food at dinner was great but not a large selection. Wait staff was awfull. Felt rushed and couldn't get anythiong to drink if it wasn't from the bar. Shows were OK .. after spending 2000.00$ on a 3 night crusie I was dissappointed, felt I did not get my monies worth. The pool was very small ( only had 1) and our day back from the bahammas there were so many people in it my kids couldn't swim. They did have a splash area by the slides where we spent most of our time with the little ones. Also no sail away party and hardly any music on deck :(

Pros:
the food

Cons:
they don't explain the money that you ended up spending,to me its a rip off, where do the money go to that you pay to cruse

i don't like it and every stop you make it cost lots of money look like the carnival ship would have this work out in your price before you sail

Great Cruise! by Jennifer O from Indianapolis, IN
Sailing date: Mar 2010

Pros:
Kids camp and the buffet

Cons:
Can't think of anything

We just returned from the cruise that departed on 3/28/10. We had an extremely long wait when checking in because a drunken passenger on the prior cruise made a hoax bomb threat at 4am. But, I'm glad the cruise line took all the appropriate safety precautions to ensure it was not real. We also had to skip our stop in Freeport due to bad weather. We later learned that a tornado touched down in Freeport. Again, so glad the captain kept us safe throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend this trip. Atlantis was fun.

bad decor/ bad service/ money grubbers by zsani h. from hagerstown, in
Sailing date: Dec 2009

Pros:
evening dining

Cons:
constantly asking for more money

our weather was bad - not the fault of the crew at all. check in was hard. food was fair. decor was outdated and tacky. they constantly asked for more money for everything. the shows were the highlight but still not fantastic. debarkation went very smooth but there was not box offered for the shipboard comment form. i tried to get what i wanted from the cruise by asking the information desk which was not helpful in the least. the lady at the desk was so unhelpful i walked away crying when asking where the morning stretch was located. by the way, i went to the morning stretch and although it was on the itinerary it did not exist.

dining room and stateroom help was magnificent. the cruise director was windy and boring. the help desk was horrific until it came time to pay the shipboard account then they were nice. the crew who ran the games and activities did not promote a good time. the crew from camp carnival was not interested in providing for normal kid entertainment. i would suppose the paid babysitting option was better taken care of.

Wasn't what I expected considering... by Mona'e D. from Orlando, FL
Sailing date: Oct 2009

Pros:
Friendly staff

Cons:
Lack of activities aboard...

The dining food was pretty good. They served lobster tails and shrimp. However, the buffet selections were not good. Compared to other ships I have been on, and considering this is supposed to be a "party ship," it lacked activities aboard.

Great cruise in every way! by Gail B from Tampa, FL
Sailing date: Oct 2009

Pros:
Wonderful Crew, Food & Entertainment

Cons:
Nothing!

Cape Canaveral has the most efficient check-in process. From the time we locked our car to standing on deck was 15minutes!!! The ship was very clean & visually appealing. The staff was attentive & pleasant. Food was Fabulous!!! Entertainment was typical cruise stuff. both ports of call, Freeport & Nassau were heavenly. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful Bahama water. Atlantis Beach Day tour ($89.00) was overpriced. Cruise passengers are escorted to a designated beach area which is a "hike & a 1/2" in the hot sun, up & down stairs away from the guests. There are no conveniently located lavatories. They promise chairs, but only a small number have sun visors atteched. Umbrella rental (if you weren't lucky enough to get a good chair) is $30.00 in addition to the $89.00 tour. The water was fantastic, however, you can take a taxi to Cable beach for a lot less!

**the only way to go on vacation** by Kristin Trowbridge from Urbana, Ohio
Sailing date: Oct 2009

Pros:
buffets, entertainment, the staff

Cons:
little rooms

My overall impression of this cruise; AMAZING!! After being on several vacations throughout the years, this is now that only way I will want to take a trip. This was our FIRST time crusing and it was a great experience. There were minor details that I could complain about, but the overall vacation was spectacular. When first approaching the port, I thought to myself, this is going to be crazy getting all of these people with their luggage to the right spot, especially when I was crusing with 5 other people and one of them was a toddler. However, the boarding process was FAST and sooo easy. Before I knew it, we were through security and onto the boat, eating the all u can eat lunch buffet. If you love to eat, then a cruise is for you. THERE WAS EVEN A CHOCOLATE BUFFET FOR ALL YOU CHOCOLATE LOVERS.... the food was always there and fresh. The water was very calm and even porting into the Bahamas was fast and easy. Getting through customs was quick and no problems getting on and off the boat to visit Nassau. The entertainment on board was great-- loved the disco and the waterworks. Finally, at last, getting off the boat was fast. They give you an option of being self issist, by taking your own bags off the boat or waiting for them (the staff) to take it to customs for you. We didnt have any problems there at all. GREAT CRUISE!!! THE STAFF WERE GREAT, especially I PUTU!!!

Camp Carnivial seemed to be very good. My 2 year old son wouldn't stay in the room, but I would recommend it to all parents. The idea of a cell phone that they give you is a very helpful part in taking your children to the camp. They can call you whenever you are needed even when you are off the ship! :-)
