Cruise Less Than Expected by
Barb B from Arkansas Sailing date: Apr 2010Pros: Efficiency of handling embarkation and disembarkation Cons: Food & excursions The food was nothing to brag about and the excursions were quite often overpriced for what you recieved. Espeically the ilsland tours. The island tours basically took you from one gift shop to another. Ship Quality

  Adventure of the SEas by
Aaron E from Fort Collins, CO Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: Great ship, entertainment, and ports of call Cons: Not much negative Royal Caribbean did an excellent job! It exceeded our expectations and was far beyond what we expected. The food was good, the entertainment was fun and we enjoyed all of the ports that we visited. The boat is really a neat marvel of engineering and while it shows its age a little in certain places, it still was clean and comfortable. Ship QualityThere are a lot of things to do on this ship. the one negative is that the rooms are a little dated in their decor and seem in places well worn. It was really comfortable and was completely overcome for my wife and I by the overall experience. Dining/FoodI think some people expect four seasons, gourmet type food. It isn't that. It is good food and the diversity of choices was exceptional. For being included in the price, the dining exceeded our expectations. The buffet was good and the dining hall had exemplary staff and made up for the lack of knock your socks off quality.
Stateroom QualityAs I stated above, this is the place the decor shows the most datedness. They are very comfortable and are completely adequate for sleeping and relaxing. The balcony was a must. I would have had an entirely different feel about the rooms without the balcony. Ship Staff QualityTotally over the top service. They made up for any minor shortcomings in the ship itself. They were always helpful and our dining room staff was a highlight of the trip. Entertainment & ActivitiesAgain, completely surprised. the ice show was dynamite and all of the main show entertainment we saw was high quality. The minor bands playing in the bars were all very good. Dont miss the latin band in the sky lounge. They were another highlight. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Adventure of the Seas by
Keng L. from Chicago Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: dining room service Cons: buffets Very well organized ship. Easy embarkation and disembarkation. No crowds except for events on Promenade. Buffets are a bit lacking in variety. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodExcellent service in dining room. Food is very good to excellent although seafood tended to be overcooked. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityIn general staff was courteous and friendly; however, the person overseeing the early disembarkation was a total failure. Entertainment & ActivitiesGood shows. Ice show was excellent 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Looking for another line by
JoeM from Florida Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Ports of call, St. Martin, St Lucia, Cons: Cruise Food, locals hawking you The best thing on Adventure was the ports of call, in particular ST. Martin, ST. Lucia.and the worst in Barbados, Antigua where the locals would not leave you alone asking if you needed a taxi. Tell them you want a helicopter and they don't know what to say ;)
RC used to be a great value line, but the food was very disaapointng in the main dinning room and the luncheon buffet .I would not go back,. On the line of Golden Coral but not as good. If you don't care so much as to the food it would be fine based on the islands. I took my daughter on a Carnival cruise from Tampa and the quality was better. A good dinning room waiter, Tyrone, steered us clear of the really bad items. I know I tried one anyway. New England Clam Chowder was made with all water, no cream, not even milk. Steaks were thin and chewey, fish had off flavors Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom Qualitywe had a suite Ship Staff Qualitymy girlfriend left her makeup she just purchased at the bar and the waitress held it for us. (Jet Blue mis delivered the lugage.) Entertainment & ActivitiesBad comedian, the guys singing were on America's got talent and were good but expected more of a show. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Something for everyone! by
Shannon R from St. Louis, MO Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: miniature golf, lots of pools and hot tubs, roller blading, ice skating Cons: cruise director, staff, shows If you enjoy doing activities on your own, then this cruise was great. If you wanted to enjoy the staff and it's way of making you feel special...this is not the ship for you. The ship was clean and up to date. Great extras. It definitely made up for the salf-indulgent and completely non-personable cruise director. And the fact that the staff was continuously making excuses for their bad service. The ports of call get an A+. And nobody spoke English when trying to board the ship. We stood in the wrong line for a half hour...along with many other disgruntled people. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodFood selection very disappointing. Stateroom Quality

Entertainment & ActivitiesThis ship has shows in the promenade and that means that you stand in a very crouded place, while staring up at a bridge. They conduct the whole show on this bridge. Very strange and hard to enjoy! 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

What a great ship ! by
Don Mac from Boston, Ma Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Everything about this cruise was fantasic. Cons: As with all cruises, watch your onboard billing carefully. This ship is the perfect size. It's the Goldilock of all the ships I've been on. It has all the fitness and activities you could want. The entertainment was wonderfully mixed with dancing and comendy shows. The food was above aveage in all diningrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. I can't wait to cruise RCL again. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodOnly on the last evening, the kitchen had a problem grilling a medium well steak. Three trys later I ate what they cooked even though it wasn't right. But, the rest of the cruise they were spot on. Stateroom QualityWe had a balcony on the 7th deck at mid ship. It was clean, modern and had enough room for the two of us. Other cruise ships were about the same. Ship Staff QualityNot over bearing. Usually there when you needed them. Great job cleaning the room. Entertainment & ActivitiesTops . they could teach " VEGAS " a thing or two. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  The Best Cruise by
Kelly V. from Springfield Ohio Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: Richard Spacey & his activities Cons: Loved it all I just returned from a 7 night cruise to the western carribean on the Freedom of the Seas. The ship is beautiful beyond words, the sites are hard to take it because it is so large. I never had a hard time getting a spot in the hot tub or on a loungs. The employees are all friendly and helpful... plus the world's best cruise director is there. Ship Qualityhuge, organized, beautiful Dining/Foodlots of options, all good Stateroom Qualitywhat can you expect but small- but who stays in their room? Ship Staff Qualitysmiles and greetings all day Entertainment & Activitiesice shows, plays, musicals, magic shows, acrobats, love and marriage game, adult quest game, sports bar, sexy leg contents, belly flop contests, bands.. so much good stuff going on. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
